ANXIOUS BLACK GIRLS® APP: PRIVACY POLICY
Anxious Black Girls, LLC ("we") makes the Anxious Black Girls® app. This section covers the app on iPhone. Questions: support@anxiousblackgirls.com.
The short version
The app does not collect your personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, and no analytics, and no server receives what you write or save.
What stays on your phone
Your journal entries, saved affirmations, articles and skills, your skill practices, your progress in plans, your greeting, your reminders, and your settings are stored only on your phone. We cannot see them, and we cannot recover them if you lose your phone. If you use iPhone backup or iCloud, Apple may include the app's data in your backup under your own Apple Account. Deleting the app, or choosing Delete everything on this phone in Help, removes it.
Face ID and passcode
If you turn on the lock, your phone's own security checks your face or passcode. The app learns only whether the check passed. We never receive your face data.
Notifications and the widget
Daily affirmation and custom reminders are scheduled on your phone and shown by iOS. The Home Screen and Lock Screen widget shows an affirmation stored inside the app. Nothing is sent to us.
Purchases
Anxious Black Girls Plus is an optional subscription sold through Apple. Apple handles payment and manages your subscription. We do not receive your name, email address, or payment details. Apple's privacy policy covers what Apple collects.
Links, sharing, and email
Crisis lines, therapist directories, and our website open in Safari, and those sites have their own privacy policies. When you share an affirmation, article, or image, you choose where it goes through the iPhone share sheet. If you email us, including from Share an idea, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to improve the app, and we do not sell or share them.
Adults only
The app is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and the app collects no personal information from anyone.
In a crisis
The app is not an emergency service. If you are in danger, call 911. For emotional crisis support in the US, call or text 988.
Changes
If the app changes how it handles information, we will update this page and the effective date before the change reaches you.
